ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble The Chief Justice) An affidavit has been filed by the first respondent. Photographs have also been produced before us. The unauthorised construction on Government land has been demolished. The first respondent states that the rubble will be completely removed within a maximum period of one week from today.

2. The consequence of the aforesaid is that the area concerned is now to be maintained as path as per the original lay out plan, which shall be ensured by levelling the land appropriately within a month of the rubble being removed.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner expresses some apprehension for the President of the petitioner association who has been following up this litigation as he has faced criminal cases and threats. The criminal case now stands closed. He submits that in case he perceives the threat and informs the police, necessary action should be taken by the police authorities.

4.We agree with the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, especially keeping in mind the history of this case.

5.The contempt petition accordingly stands closed and the contemnor is discharged from the contempt proceedings.
