ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed by the Petitioner praying to direct the learned Principal District Judge, Kallakurichi to number the Petition in unnumbered OP SR.No.(ATN20230008019C20260001) dated 01.01.2026 on the file of the Principal District Court, Kallakurichi.

2. The learned counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner had filed a Original Petition under Sections 232 & 276 of the Indian Succession Act (XXXIX of 1925) for grant of Letters of Administration r/w. Order XXV Rule 5

of the O.S.Rules before the Principal District Court, Kallakurichi praying to grant the Letter of Administration of the deceased K.Govindaraj with Will Schedule of the properties dated 13.09.2023 in common form and thereof, to have effect limited to the State of Tamil Nadu to the Petitioner and Respondent as beneficiary under the Will of the deceased. The Petitioner filed the said Original Petition on 01.01.2026 through Online as per the Court Notification No.327 of 2025 dated 10.12.2025 and he submitted the soft copy to the Court on 02.01.2026. The Petitioner filed the said Original Petition along with original Will and Death Certificate of the deceased Govindaraj. 2.1. Further, the learned counsel for Petitioner drew the attention of this Court to the Court Notification No.327 of 2025 dated 10.12.

2025 issued by the Registrar General, High Court Madras, wherein, it has been specifically stated that the staff concerned shall assign SR number immediately on daily basis in working days and complete scrutiny of e-filed cases, within 3 working days without fail. Despite the said direction, the learned Principal District Judge, Kallakurichi has kept the aforesaid Original Petition pending. 2.2. It is also submitted by the learned counsel for Petitioner that till date, the learned Principal District Judge, Kallakurichi has neither assigned any filing number to the Original Petition filed by the Petitioner nor taken up the same for scrutiny.

3. Heard the learned counsel for Petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

4. Considering the limited relief sought by the Petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the learned Principal District Judge, Kallakurichi to number the Original Petition in unnumbered OP SR.No. (ATN20230008019C20260001) dated 01.01.2026 on the file of the Principal District Court, Kallakurichi, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
