ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences under Sections 4(1) (a), 4 (1) (i) r/w.24 of TNP Act in Crime No.397 of 2017 and seeks anticipatory bail. 2.Heard both sides.
3.Learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any such offence as alleged by the prosecution and a false case has been foisted against him. 4.Learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the petitioner was found in possession of 22 bottles I.D. arrack and A2 was already released on bail.
5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and taking note of the fact of the quantity of contra band involved and that co-accused was already released on bail, this court feels that no custodial interrogation is necessary and is inclined to grant the relief of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6.Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on his appearance before the learned Magistrate concerned within a period of 10 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, on his executing a bond for a sum of
Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ambattur, Chennai, or to the satisfaction of the respondent police or the police officer who intends to arrest and on further condition that the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police daily at 10.00 a.m for a period of two weeks and thereafter as and when required for interrogation.
