This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the first respondent to incorporate the second wife's name as petitioner's wife in the place of first wife in the service records of the petitioner.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner had joined as a Fire Man on 21.06.1965 in the Tamil Nadu Fire Service and he retired from his service on 30.04.2001 as Station Fire Officer. All the retirement benefits were settled and he is receiving pension. While being so, his wife Iswari died on 16.05.2011. Thereafter, he got married to one Visalatchi. Therefore, he submitted a representation to incorporate the second wife's name in the place of the deceased first wife.

4. On perusal of the counter filed by the respondents revealed that the petitioner failed to produce any material to show that he got married to Visalatchi. That apart, the second wife also died on 21.02.2018 and he had no other legal heirs to get any pensionary benefits of family pension. Therefore, the relief sought for in this writ petition cannot be considered and the writ petition is devoid of merits and it is liable to be dismissed.
5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
