ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for records in S.C.No.98 of 2016 on the file of the XVII Additional Judge, City Civil and Sessions Court, Singaravelar Maligai, George Town, Chennai-600 001 and quash the charges against the petitioner.

2.Today, the matter is listed under the caption 'For reporting settlement'. The legal heirs of deceased Mr.Kumar and Mr.Subhash were present before this Court and filed their affidavits and they were identified by the investigating officer. 3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel for the 2nd respondent and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the first respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the de facto complainant and the petitioner have amicably settled the issue before the Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre and had executed Mediation Agreement dated 28.06.2017. Accordingly, the legal heirs of deceased (i)Kumar and (ii) Subhash have filed their affidavits dated 13.07.2017, stating that they have no objection if the proceedings in S.C.No.98 of 2016, on the file of the XVII Additional Judge, City Civil and Sessions Court, Singaravelar Malligai, George Town, Chennai, is quashed.

5. Recording the submissions made by legal heirs of the deceased (i)Kumar and (ii)Subhash in their affidavit dated 13.07.2017, the proceedings in S.C.No.98 of 2016, on the file of the XVII Additional Judge, City Civil and Sessions Court, Singaravelar Malligai, George Town, Chennai is quashed. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
