Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorari to call for the records of the 1st respondent in his order B/186/2012, dated 24.09.2012 quash the same.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed aggrieved by the impugned order dated 24.09.2012 passed by the first respondent. As per the said order, the first respondent directed the District Collector, Cuddalore and the District Adi-Dravida Welfare Officer to issue directions to their subordinate officers for implementing the pattas already issued to 110 poor landless persons during the year 1987 in respect of the acquired lands in Rs No.17/1 -10 Hec of Panickankuppam village, Panruti Taluk.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he is in possession of the aforesaid lands and no fresh pattas can be in favour of third parties.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has now brought to the attention of this Court that the first respondent has issued a subsequent order, dated 01.10.2012. As seen from the said order, pursuant to an application submitted by Mr.A.Antoniraj, dated 28.09.2012, the first respondent has now kept in abeyance the impugned order dated 24.09.2012, which is the subject matter of this writ petition and has referred the matter to the Lokadalat for further proceedings. The order dated 01.10.2012 issued by the first respondent is extracted herein.

In view of the petition submitted by an individual cited in the 4th reference, the proceedings issued by this Authority on 24.09.2012 in B.No.186/2012 is hereby kept in abeyance and the matter shall be referred to the Lok Adalath for further proceedings.

4. Heard Mr.M.S.Palaniswamy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Ravikumar, learned Additional Government

Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 5.

5. Since the impugned order dated 24.09.2012 in this writ petition has been kept in abeyance by the first respondent, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition.

6. Recording the order dated 01.10.2012 passed by the first respondent as well as the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 5, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
