Learned counsel for the appellant submitted that the appellant herein has passed away on 18.02.2026 and therefore, he prayed that the appeal in respect of the appellant may be closed. Further, he also produced the Death Certificate of the appellant before this Court. 3.

Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police has also confirmed the death of the appellant and furnished the report from the prison authorities. 4.

Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the appellant, this Criminal Appeal stands abated. The Death Certificate of the appellant produced by the learned counsel for the appellant shall form part of the records. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
