These Civil Revision Petitions are filed seeking to the set aside the orders passed by the learned Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai dated 30.01.2023 in Tr.O.P.Nos.5264 and 5265 of 2022.

2. During the course of submissions, the learned counsel representing the petitioner as well as the learned counsel on record for the respondent have submitted now that the cause does not survive as the Presiding Officer, V Additional Judge Family Court, Chennai has retired from service.

3. As seen from the records, originally, the petitioner herein has filed O.P. No. 2899 of 2011 on the file of V Additional Judge, Family Court, Chennai seeking divorce. It is surprised now that in spite of passage of more than 12 years, still the said O.P is pending.

4. The learned counsel on record for the petitioner that after retirement of the Presiding Officer, V Additional Family Judge, no other judge is posted and III Additional Family Court is made full additional in charge.

5. Considering the circumstances explained, since the cause does not 2/4

survive in these Civil Revision Petitions, the same are disposed at this stage by directing the learned Presiding Officer, III Additional Judge, Family Court, Chennai, who is full additional in charge of V Additional Judge, Family Court, Chennai, to take up the cases in M.C.No.477 of 2011 and O.P.No.2899 of 2011 and dispose of them as expeditiously as possible not later three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
