O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed challenging the rejection order passed by the first respondent against the petitioner in Serial No.58 in the rejection list dated 03.01.2020 and revised

provisional selection list dated 28.12.2020 pertaining to the Direct Recruitment for the post of Computer Instructors Grade-I (Post Graduate Cadre) -2018-2019 and consequently, direct the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.02.2020 and allow the petitioner to upload her documents for certificate verification and include her name in the revised provisional selection list dated 28.12.2020.

2. Mr.C.Munusamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondent No.1. Mr.P.Raja, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondent No.2.

3. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. It is an admitted case that the petitioner has not uploaded the documents and hence she was not allowed to participate in the certificate verification, even though she has secured more marks. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's mother-in-law passed away on 29.10.2019 and all the family members went to their native place for cremation and they were out of station for the period of two months. At that time, the petitioner was not well and was also hospitalized. Hence, the petitioner was unable to upload her documents at the prescribed time.

5. The documents should have been uploaded as per the notification, failing which, the petitioner's candidature will be rejected, is a known fact. The candidature of the petitioner was rejected as early as on 03.01.2020 and she, all of a sudden, woke up from slumber and approached this Court with the aforesaid prayer after a lapse of more than a year, which is not acceptable. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief sought for by the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. Sd/- Assistant Registrar //True Copy// Sub Assistant Registrar rsi
