Petitioners seek to quash the proceedings in M.C.No.42 of 2015 pending on the file of the Family Court, Salem.

2. Heard learned counsel for petitioners.

3.The respondent herein has filed maintenance case under Section 125 of Cr.P.C. against his sons/ the petitioners herein. Perusal of the records reveal that the respondent herein and his wife and petitioners who are their sons, are living separately and due to his old age, the respondent has filed the maintenance case, seeking maintenance from his sons and as against the same, the petitioners have filed this petition.

4.Finding no merits, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. The Family Court, Salem, will dispose of M.C.No.42 of 2015 before it as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed.
