This criminal original petition is filed to quash the FIR in Crime No. 548 of 2017 on the file of the respondent Police. 2.

The case of the prosecution is that as per the complaint given by one Porkodi, Inspector of Police, the petitioner along with 20 others, assembled on the Kathipara Fly Over and conducted a protest, blocking the public vehicles without any valid permission which caused harm and disturbance to the public. Based on the said complaint, the respondent registered an FIR in Crime No. 548 of 2017 against the petitioner along with six others for the offences punishable under Sections 143, 145, 147, 188, 189, 353 & 506 (i) IPC.

When the matter is taken up, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that Crime No. 548 of 2017 was taken on file in C.C. No. 633 of 2017 before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Alandur and that when one of the co-accused moved this Court in Crl.O.P. No. 31140 of 2025 seeking to quash the proceedings in C.C. No. 633 of 2017, this Court, by 2\4

order dated 13.11.2025, quashed the proceedings pertaining to the said calendar case in respect of all the accused.

In view of the above submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, since the proceedings in C.C. No. 633 of 2017 already stand quashed in respect of all the accused by order dated 13.11.2025 in Crl.O.P. No. 31140 of 2025, nothing survives in this criminal original petition and the same is dismissed as infructuous. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
