Prayer in W.P.No.5995 of 2019: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to release the payment due to the petitioner to the tune of Rs.236947/- in respect of Agreements dated 10.09.2013 bearing Nos. DR/TWAD/TPR/97/2013-14 and DR/TWAD/TPR/95/2013-14.
Prayer in W.P.No.5997 of 2019: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to release a sum of Rs.235332/- due to the petitioner in respect of Agreements bearing No. DR/TWAD/TPR/96/2013-14 and No.DR/TWAD/TPR/94/2013-14 dated 10.09.2013.

COMMON ORDER A common order is passed in respect of both these writ petitions since the grievances expressed by the petitioners are one and the same.
2.Heard Ms.Hemalatha, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Ms.Shahila Banu, learned counsel appearing for the respondents Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board. 3.The petitioners have admittedly rendered certain works for the TWAD Board as early as in 2013-2014 in respect of agreements dated 10.09.2013 bearing Nos.DR/TWAD/TPR/97/2013-14 and DR/TWAD/TPR/95/2013-14 in WP.No.5995 of and DR/TWAD/TPR/96/2013-14 and No.DR/TWAD/ TPR/94/2013-14 dated 10.09.2013 in WP.No.5997 of 2019.
4.While a portion of the amounts due to them have been admittedly settled, learned counsel appearing for the respondents would state that the quantification of the balance remains to be done. She would however fairly admit that the entirety of the amounts due to the petitioners have not been settled as on date.
5.The claim of the petitioner in WP.No.5995 of 2019 is a sum of Rs.2,36,947/- and that of the petitioner in WP.No.5997 of 2019 is a sum of Rs.2,35,332/-.
6.In view of the fact that admittedly certain sums are payable to the petitioners herein and all that remains is a quantification and pay-over the balance, it is unnecessary that these writ petitions are kept pending.
7.In view of the admission of the learned counsel appearing for the respondents, it would suffice that the petitioners will meet the 2nd respondent i.e. the Executive Engineer, TWAD Board, RWS Division, Tiruppur on Wednesday, the 23rd of February, 2022 in the office of the latter. Once the parties quantify the amount due to the petitioner, let the same be paid over to them within a period of eight(8)weeks from the date of their meeting. 8.With this, these writ petitions are closed.
