O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed challenging the lookout notice issued against the petitioner by the first respondent, which is pending before the second respondent, in pursuance of the registration of FIR in Crime No. 3 of 2018.

2. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

3. The Learned Government Advocate (crl.side), on instructions, submitted that the investigation in Crime No. 3 of 2018 has now been completed, and the final report has been filed. The same has been taken cognizance in C.C. No. 1971 of 2023 on the file of the XI Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Saidapet, Chennai, and the case is now pending trial. In fact, this Court had already directed the Trial Court to complete the

trial in C.C. No. 1971 of 2023 within a period of nine months from the date of receipt of the order. Therefore, if the petitioner is permitted to leave the country, the trial could not be completed within the stipulated time as directed by this Court.

4. In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to withdraw the lookout notice while the trial is pending. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the Trial Court to seek permission for traveling abroad for a specific period and for a particular purpose. No costs.
