ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents No. 1 and 2 to assign appropriate placement for the petitioner in the temporary panel drawn vide G.O. Ms.No. 467 Home (Transport) Department dated 9.9.2025 in the light of the proceedings in Letter (Ms.) No 52 dated 31.01.2025 on the file of the 1st Respondent on the basis of petitioner representation dated 30.12.2025.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that when he was serving as Motor Vehicle Inspector Grade I in the office of the Regional Transport Officer, an inspection was conducted by the respondent official and found out a sum of Rs.3240/- from his table drawyer. Besides two receipts for Rs.1200/- and seven receipts for Rs.120/- for a total sum of Rs.3240/-which were issued for enrollment of subscription of Government journal vix., Tamilarasu in accordance with the proceedings of the Regional Transport Officer, chennai. In this regard, a report was submitted and charges have been framed. Enquiry has been conducted and final report has also been filed. However, no final order has been passed till date. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking promotion through proper channel and the same is not considered. Hence, the present writ petition.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
4. The learned Additional Government pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
5. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 30.12.2025 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
