[Order was delivered by R.SUBBIAH,J] The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to grant permission to conduct Jallikattu event scheduled on 23.02.2019 by following the Tamil Nadu Regulation of Jallikattu Act, 2009 and Tamil Nadu Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Conduct of Jallikattu) Rules, 2017 on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 21.01.2019 and the reports of respondents 4 and 5 dated 03.02.2019 and 08.02.2019 respectively.

2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Advocate for respondents.

3. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner's representation dated 21.01.2019 was rejected by the first respondent vide order in No.369/2018/M1 dated 19.02.2019. A copy of the said order has also been produced before this Court.

4. This Court has perused the order passed by the first respondent. Since the petitioner's representation has been rejected, nothing survives for further adjudication in this matter.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy in the manner known to law, if he so desires. No costs.
