Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 28.12.2018 to provide storm relief of Rs.Four Lakhs (Rs.4,00,000/-) in relation to death of petitioner's son named P.S.Ramamoorthy (56 years) due to Vardha Cyclone based on G.O. (MS)No.380 dated 27.10.2015 of Tamil Nadu Government Revenue (D.M.III(2)) Department.

O R D E R Mr.V.Prabhu, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission state itself.

This writ petition has been filed to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 28.12.2018, wherein and whereby, he seeks to provide storm relief of Rs.Four Lakhs (Rs.4,00,000/-) in relation to death of his son named P.S.Ramamoorthy (56 years) due to Vardha Cyclone, based on G.O. (MS)No.380 dated 27.10.2015 of Tamil Nadu Government Revenue (D.M.III(2)) Department.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation has not been considered by the respondents so far.
5. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the 2nd respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.12.2018 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
