ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's

representation dated 18.10.2014 for transferring the patta in his name.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has given an application for transferring the patta in his name as early as on 18.10.2014, the second respondent has not passed any order so far.

3. Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader taking notice for the respondents, submitted that the second respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders, in accordance with law.

4. A perusal of the materials available on record, it is clearly seen that the second respondent is keeping the application submitted by the petitioner as early as on 18.10.2014 for transferring the patta, pending till today, without assigning any reason whatsoever. I am of the view that the second respondent cannot keep the application years together without passing any order.

5. Under such circumstances, I direct the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.10.2014 for transferring

the patta in his name and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
