O R D E R
The Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 3 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and to ensure that the survey and boundary demarcation in respect of the land situated in Survey Nos.394/2A and 394/1, Patta Nos.1864 and 1886, Andihalli Village, Dharmapuri District is carried out peacefully and without any obstruction while inspecting and measuring the property based on the petitioner's application and representation dated 05.01.2026.
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the husband of the petitioner is the owner of the properties in Survey Nos.394/2A and 394/1, Patta Nos.1864 and 1886, Andihalli Village, Dharmapuri District. He would submit that with an intention to survey the aforesaid land and fix the boundaries, an application was submitted before the Revenue Authorities, requesting them to conduct survey and boundary demarcation in accordance with law. He would submit that pursuant to the said application, when the officials attempted to carry out the survey work, certain private individuals illegally interfered with the survey and prevented the officials from carrying out the survey work. He would submit that the petitioner, on 05.01.2026, gave a detailed written 2/4
representation to the respondents one and three, requesting them to provide adequate police protection and to ensure that the survey work is conducted in a peaceful manner, without any obstruction. He would further submit that on receipt of the representation, the respondent police have not taken any action till date, and hence, the present petition has been filed.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions of the third respondent, would submit that if the second respondent/Tahsildar fixes a date for survey and requests for police protection, appropriate police protection will be given by the third respondent. 4.
Having heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and upon perusal of the materials available on record, this Court holds that if 2nd respondent/Tahsildar fixes a date for survey and requests for police protection, it shall be afforded by the 3rd respondent.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands disposed of. No costs.
