O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to expedite the Patta Appeal No.344 of 2016 filed before the respondent by the petitioner on 14.03.2016.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that inspite of the appeal being filed by the petitioner, as against the order passed by the Tahsildar before the respondent, as early as on 14.03.2016, the same has not yet been disposed of by the respondent.

3.Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader taking notice for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal within a time frame. 4.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's Patta Appeal No.344 of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2016 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
