order of this Court issued in M.P.No.1 of 2015 in W.P.No.20336 of 2015 dated 08.07.2015.

O R D E R

The petitioner aggrieved over the violation of giving preference to Wind Power Generator as per the Regulations. According to the Regulations, it shall be considered as a "MUST RUN" Power Generator and preference shall be given. This Court by way of an interim order directed the respondents to give preference to the Wind Power Generators. Since the direction of this Court was not complied with, the present Contempt Petition has been filed.

2.It is submitted that during the pendency of the Contempt Petition, the main Writ Petition itself was disposed of by this Court on 03.02.2022 with an observation that the matter was adjudicated before the Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission and the Appellate Authority. Government of India issued a Notification on 22.10.2021 and Rules were framed. Recording the same, this Court has disposed of the main writ petition on 03.02.2022.

3.Since the main writ petition itself was disposed of recording the Rules framed under Rule 3 of Electricity (Promotion of Generation of Electricity from Must-Run Power Plant) Rules, 2021, the Contempt Petition does not require any further adjudication. Accordingly, the Contempt Petition is closed.
