Respondent Prayer:- Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider and pass an order on the representation given by the petitioner dated 26.04.2014 with respect of allotment of land and further direct the respondent herein not to disturb his peaceful possession and enjoyment of the land in Survey No.125 & 126 of Madukkarai Village, Coimbatore District for an extent of 1.50 acres till the disposal of the representation given by the petitioner. By consent, the writ petition is take up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner claims that after the demise of his father he is carrying on agricultural operation in Survey Nos.125 and 126 measuring an extent of 1.50 acres in Madukkarai Village. The petitioner further claims that the land in question originally belonged to one Ramasamy and it was acquired under the provisions of the Land Reforms Act and thereafter it was declared as surplus and thus the said land has not been allotted to the beneficiaries. He would further submit that a detailed representation dated 26.04.2014 was submitted to the respondent with a prayer for allotment of the land and issuance of patta in respect of the said land and since he has not been favoured with any response, he has come forward with this writ petition.

appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Digvijaya Pandian accepts notice for the respondent.
4. This Court without going into the merits of the representation dated 26.04.2014 submitted by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 26.04.2014, on merits and in accordance with law, after putting the concerned person on notice and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner as well as the concerned person. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
