Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the first and second respondents to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members at time of fencing the petitioner's land in Survey No.233/4B situated at Periasoragai Village, Mettur, Tharamangalam, Salem.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the the first and second respondents to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members at time of fencing the petitioner's land in Survey No.233/4B situated at Periasoragai Village, Mettur, Tharamangalam, Salem.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 and perused the materials available on record.
3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the second respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the request made by the petitioner, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the respondents 3 and 4, in the light of the Civil Court decree obtained by the petitioner, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law
within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
