The suit is for alleged infringement of the applicant / plaintiff's trademark RUCHI GOLD, for passing off and other reliefs. The applicant has stated that the cause of action has arisen within the jurisdiction of the Court because the infringing mark has been used on products sold in Chennai.

2. Upon perusing the draft plaint and the affidavit in support of the application, it appears that the cause of action has arisen at least partly within the jurisdiction of this Court. Accordingly, A.No.774 of 2022 is allowed and the applicant is permitted to institute the suit before this Court against the proposed defendant.
