Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.03.2017 and to provide adequate armed police protection with gun man as required to a person who has got threat perception from the rowdy elements.

The petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition, seeking a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 20.03.2017 and to provide adequate armed police protection with gun man as required to a person, who has got threat perception from the rowdy elements.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents filed a letter dated 10.04.2017 sent by the Inspector of Police, Vellore North Police Station, wherein it is stated that the police protection as claimed by the petitioner will be provided and the Police Department, Vellore District, has no objection for the same.
