The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant patta to the petitioner property admeasuring about 1209 square feet on the eastern portion out of 2398 Sq.Ft comprised in Plot No.13 forms part of the lay out called CRPF Nagar situated at Survey No.277/1 and 277/2 situated at Mittanamalli Village, Avadi Taluk, Tiruvallur District.

In respect of the property admeasuring about 1209 square feet on the eastern portion out of 2398 Sq.Ft comprised in Plot No.13 forms part of the lay out called CRPF Nagar situated at Survey No.277/1 and 277/2 situated at Mittanamalli Village, Avadi Taluk, Tiruvallur District, the petitioner has made an application on 26.07.2022 seeking patta and that has been received and acknowledged by the respondent Tahsildar also. Despite that since no action has been taken, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 2 / 4

4. Learned Government Advocate would submit that, the said application of the petitioner would be considered and decided on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Considering the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate, this Court directs the 2nd respondent Tahsildar to consider the application dated 26.07.2022 submitted by the petitioner seeking patta on merits and in accordance with law and pass necessary orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
