The present petition has been filed to modify the condition imposed on the petitioner in Paragraph No.7 of the order dated 15.02.2023 passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.3523 of 2023 while granting bail.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that one of the conditions imposed on the petitioner is that "the petitioner should execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties, out of which, one must be a blood related surety, for a like sum to the satisfaction of the respondent police or the police officer who intends to arrest or to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate concerned. He would further submit that the petitioner/accused is a foreigner and his parents are also in abroad and hence, blood related surety is not available here. Hence, he would seek to modify the aforesaid condition.

3. Heard the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police.

Taking into consideration, the facts and the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is allowed by modifying the condition to the effect that " the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties, each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Chidambaram". All other conditions remain intact.

5. With the above modifications, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is allowed.
