Respondent PRAYER : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the record pertaining to Reference No.D.2/Ph.D/Admission/April 2013/2016-497 dated 09.03.2016 issued by the respondent Registrar, University of Madras, Chennai and quash the same as arbitrary, illegal and unlawful and further direct the respondent to grant the petitioner admission to Ph.D. program - full time - (without stipend) for the period from April 2013 in the department of Economics, University of Madras, Chennai.
