Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing 1st to 4th respondents to call for fresh tender to collect the entrance fees at Daily Shandy of Paapampaadi Village and fees for slaughtering the cattle at Slaughter House of Daily Shandy of Paapampaddi Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District by following the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tenders Act, 1998 and its Rules for the period from 01.04.2018 to 31.03.2019 as the contract awarded to the 5th respondent was not in a transparent manner.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking writ of mandamus directing respondents 1 to 4 to call for fresh tender to collect the entrance fees at Daily Shandy of Paapampaadi Village and fees for slaughtering the cattle at Slaughter House of Daily Shandy of Paapampaddi Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District by following the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tenders Act, 1998 and its Rules for the period from 01.04.2018 to 31.03.2019 as the contract awarded to the 5th respondent was not in a transparent manner.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 2 to 4 submitted that the present writ petition seeking aforesaid direction has become infructuous, since the work order has already been issued on 28.03.2018, after issuing a tender notice, inviting application from the eligible candidates.

3. Mr.K.Raja, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that till date the work order and the copy of the tender notification have not been made available.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, the respondents are hereby directed to give copy of the work order dated 28.03.2018 to the petitioner within two days. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
