Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to rectify the defects in the Revenue Records maintained by the 3rd respondent by issuing the patta to the petitioner for S.No.186/8 to the extent of 24 cents and for S.No.186/4-E (186/4) of Sembodai Village Vedharaniyam Taluk, Nagapattinam District by cancelling the Old Patta and to issue correct patta for the above said Survey Number in the name of the petitioner in accordance with the petitioner's sale deed dated 11.09.1976 bearing Doc No.2109/1976 on the file of SROVedharaniyam. This Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus, directing the respondents to rectify the defects in the Revenue Records maintained by the 3rd respondent by issuing the patta to the petitioner for S.No.186/8 to the extent of 24 cents in respect of the land in S.No.186/4-E (186/4) of Sembodai Village Vedharaniyam Taluk, Nagapattinam District by cancelling the Old Patta and to issue correct patta in favour of the petitioner. 2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submitted that due to efflux of time, the petitioner may be given liberty to approach the authority concerned with a fresh representation with regard to the claim made herein, for which the learned Special Government Pleader has no serious objection.
