Respondents The writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation, dated 23.10.2013 with regard to change of name in the revenue records in S.No.339 extent 8.99 acres, in Thirumullaivoyil village, Tiruvallur District, vide old patta No.340 and new Patta No.761 in petitioner's name, instead of "Masilamani Easwarar".

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents.

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to dispose of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation of the petitioner, dated 23.10.2013, with regard to the change of name, in the revenue records, in S.No.339, to an extent of 8.99 acres, in Thirumullaivoyil village, Thiruvallur District, in favour of the petitioner. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents had submitted that the third respondent may be directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 23.10.2013, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

In view of such submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, this Court finds it appropriate to direct the third respondent to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 23.10.2013, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, as well as to the other persons concerned, if any. The writ petition is disposed of, with the above directions. No costs.
