This Court, vide order dated 06.07.2023, has directed the Presiding Officer, Labour Court, Salem-7, to dispose of I.D.No.420 of 2001 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order and allowed the above said writ petition.

2. This being so, after a lapse of eight months, the Presiding Officer (FAC), Labour Court, Salem, has written a letter to the Registrar General of this Court vide D.No.136/2024 dated 13.03.2024, seeking extension of time in order to comply with the order passed by this Court dated 06.07.2023, which is not appreciated by this Court. However, considering the reasons stated in the letter, this Court is inclined to grant four months extension to dispose of I.D.No.420 of 2001, as directed by this Court order dated 06.07.2023.

3. Registry is directed to send a copy of the order to the Presiding Officer, Labour Court, Salem-7.
