ORDER

By order dated 01.06.2017, passed in Crl.OP.No.8673 of 2017, this Court directed the respondent to complete the investigation and file final report in Cr.No.1722 of 2016 pending on his file, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ a copy of the order. Since the said order has not been

complied with within a stipulated time, the petitioner has filed the present contempt petition.

2.When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), on instructions, submitted that as directed by this Court, after completion of investigation, charge sheet was filed and the same was also taken on file as CC No.9751 fo 2017 by the learned 14th Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai.

3.In view of the above, this Court is of the opinion that it is unnecessary to pursue this petition. Hence, recording the said submission, the Contempt Petition stands closed.
