ORDER
This Contempt Petition has been filed alleging willful disobedience of the order and direction issued in W.P.No.878 of 2015 dated 13.01.2015.
2. The learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the order has been complied with and enquiry is conducted and it was found that the petitioner's mother-in-law was not residing in the given
address.
3. The concerned Officer from the Department along with original file is present.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there is a change of address and new address is New.No.5, Old No.24, Thiruvallur Street, Amaravathy Nagar, Chennai - 106 and the respondent may be directed to verify the same and include the name of the petitioner in the Ration Card.
5. The Officer, who is present in the Court, states that the application said to have been filed by the petitioner giving the new change of address is not available in the original file and if a proper application is submitted, the respondent would enquire into the matter and do the needful in accordance with law.
6. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that his client will submit a fresh application giving the new address.
7. Accordingly, the Contempt Petition stands disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to appear before the respondent and furnish change of address in the appropriate
format, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such application, the respondent shall depute his Officer for verification and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks thereafter.
