ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent Nos.1 to 3 to secure the respondent Nos.4 to 6 in Crime No.48 of 2019.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that

inspite of a complaint given by the petitioner on 09.05.2017 to the Commissioner of Police, Vepery, Chennai, the same has been kept in abeyance without any action. Subsequently, the petitioner had filed a Crl.O.P.No.26661 of 2017 before this Court by seeking direction to register the FIR with respect of his complaint dated 09.05.2017. This Court passed an order in Crl.O.P.No.26661 of 2017, dated 06.12.2017, directed the respondent Police to register the FIR based on the complaint by the petitioner dated 09.05.2017, if any cognizable offence is found.

3. He further submitted that more than one year, the complaint of the petitioner did not investigated by the respondent Police, hence, the petitioner had filed another petition in Crl.O.P.No.29797 of 2018 before this Court seeking for a direction to the 1st respondent Police to investigate and file the final report within stipulated time as per the order of this Court in Crl.OP.No.26661 of 2017. As per the order, the 3rd respondent registered the FIR as against the respondent Nos.4 to 6 under the Provisions of 420 IPC in Crime No.48 of 2019. After filing of FIR, the 3rd respondent Police did not take any action till date.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the respondent police may be permitted to file a final report within a period of three months.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.48 of 2019 pending on his file and file a final report within a period of three weeks from the date of the receipt of a copy of this Order.

6. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
