This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to register the petitioner's complaint dated 13.04.2016.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. 3.

It is seen that on the complaint lodged by the petitioner's wife, a case in Crime No. 2 of 2016 has been registered against the petitioner for offence 498-A IPC and that on the complaint given by the petitioner, petition enquiry is being conducted in C.S.R. No.132 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police.

In view of the above factual matrix, the respondent police is directed to conduct enquiry in C.S.R. No.132 of 2016 and during the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, a regular case shall be registered, in accordance with the law laid down by the Honourable Apex Court in Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others [(2014) 4 SCC 1], otherwise, the petition may be closed under intimation to the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
