The suit is for alleged infringement of the applicant / plaintiff's trademark and copyright RUCHI GOLD, passing off and other reliefs. The applicant has stated that the cause of action has arisen within the jurisdiction of the Court because products bearing the infringing mark or label have been sold at Chennai.

2. Upon perusing the draft plaint and the affidavit in support of the application, it appears that the cause of action has arisen at least partly within the jurisdiction of this Court. Accordingly, A.No.775 of 2022 is allowed and the applicant is permitted to institute the suit before this Court against the proposed defendant.
