..Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to release the arrears of pension from May 2017 and the pension of the petitioner in P.P.O.No.3327 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition is that though the petitioner has superannuated from service, for non-furnishing of Adhar Card for paying his pension, the respondents had stopped paying the monthly pension to the petitioner from May 2017. But he was getting the same earlier. Hence, the petitioner has came forward with the present writ petition, to release the arrears of pension due to him from May 2017.

2. Heard Mr.P.Arumugarajan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Palanimuthu, learned counsel for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the respondents has submitted that Government is going to take a decision shortly to dispense with such requirement of Adhar Card. Hence, the writ petition requires no adjudication.

especially the submissions of the counsel for the respondents, it is directed that the pension of the petitioner which has been withheld for non-furnishing of Adhar card be released in favour of the petitioner within a period of one month from the date of receipt of copy of this order, but such disposal shall be subject to the policy decision of the Government in this regard.
