O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed praying to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide necessary police protection to perform an inter-caste marriage with Kavitha, D/o.Manokaran on 12.03.2025 at 06:00 AM to 07:00 AM to be conducted at M/m.Sri Selandiamman Thirukovil, Komalikaraipudhur, Gobichettipalayam, Erode District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 20.01.2025.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that his marriage was arranged with one Kavitha. Their marriage is scheduled to be performed in Tamil Vazhi Thirumanam by following Tamil customs and rituals on 12.03.2025 at 6.00 a.m. in Arul Mighu Sri Sellandiamman Thirukovil, Gobichettipalayam. The parents of the petitioner and the abovesaid Kavitha made a representation to the 3rd respondent and he has granted permission to perform the marriage, however the respondents 4 and 5 who are the poosaris of the above said Temple have objected to perform the marriage and has been threatening the petitioner that they will not
permit any inter-caste marriage in their temple. Hence, he submitted a petition dated 20.01.2025 to the respondents 1 and 2 seeking to provide police protection to conduct his marriage on 12.03.2025 from 6.00 am to 7.00 am in the said temple.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Govt. Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

Considering the fact that intercaste marriage of the petitioner is scheduled to be performed on 12.03.2025 at 6.00 a.m. to 7.00 a.m. in Arul Mighu Sri Sellandiamman Thirukovil, Gobichettipalayam and the same should be performed in a peaceful manner, this court is inclined to give police protection sought by the petitioner. In view of the above, the 2nd respondent is directed to provide adequate police protection for the petitioner's marriage scheduled to be performed on 12.03.2025 at 6.00 am to 7.00 am in Arul Mighu Sri Sellandiamman Thirukovil, Gobichettipalayam, Erode District by considering his representation dated 20.01.2025.
