Heard Mr.S.Murugappan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Mr.S.R.Sunder, learned counsel for respondents.

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the first and second respondents to carryout necessary corrections with regard to the RITC numbers in respect of the shipping bills, and also to send necessary clarifications to the fourth respondent on the subject shipping bills within a time frame.

It may not be necessary to go into the merits of the contentions raised by the petitioner, in the light of the subsequent developments, which have been taken place during the pendency of the Writ Petition.

The Assistant Commissioner of Customs (Exports)/second respondent, vide letter, dated 24.06.2016, bearing No. S.MISC.05/132/2016-Exp (AIR), has communicated to the Joint Director General of Foreign Trade/fourth respondent that, they have no objection for amendment of the shipping Bills, the details of which have been stated in the said letter. 5.
In the light of the same, part of the prayer, sought for by the petitioner has been complied with, and consequently, there will be a direction to the fourth respondent to take into consideration the communication sent by the second respondent, dated 24.06.2016, and pass consequential orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.
The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. s No costs.
