Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents 1 to 6 to provide adequate and necessary police protection to the petitioner at the property situated at Plot No. 87, and Plot No. 86, Bhuvaneswari Nagar, Velachery, Chennai -42 more fully described in the Schedule of the Writ Petition. This writ petition has been filed to direct the Respondents 1 to 6 to provide adequate and necessary police protection to the petitioner at the property situated at Plot No. 87, and Plot No. 86, Bhuvaneswari Nagar, Velachery, Chennai -42. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, the same was taken on file in CSR No.48 of 2024. The rival complaint was also given by the other party and the same was taken on file in CSR No.57 of 2024. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that since both the parties are claiming right over the property, the matter has been referred to the Tahsildar, Velacherry to conduct an enquiry by calling both the parties and thereafter, a decision will be taken.
3.In the light of the above submission, there shall be a direction to the 6th respondent to follow up with the Tahsildar, Velachery and a decision shall be taken, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 4.This writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. No Costs.
