ORDER

The prayer made in the writ petition is to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission and provide necessary protection to conduct the dance program at Arulmigu Abaradharakshakar (Kutram Poruthavar) Thirukoil, situated at Aduthurai, Kunnam Taluk, Perambalur District on 11.03.2017.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that he has submitted a representation dated 02.03.2017 to the respondent, seeking permission to conduct Adal Padal and cultural programme in the event of Arulmighu Abaradharakshakar (Kutram Poruthavar) Thirukoil Therottam Masimagam Thiruvizha, scheduled to be held on 11.03.2017. However, till date, no order has been passed by the respondent. Hence, this petition.

Though the petitioner sought for permission to conduct "Adal Padal and cultural programme", learned counsel for the petitioner restricted the same to the extent of conducting Orchestra, for which, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent has raised no serious objection. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

In view of the submission so made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.03.2017 and grant permission to the petitioner to conduct Orchestra in the event of Arulmighu Abaradharakshakar (Kutram Poruthavar) Thirukoil Therottam Masimagam Thiruvizha, at Aduthurai, Kunnam Taluk, Perambalur District, scheduled to be held on 11.03.2017, subject to usual conditions. It is made clear that this Court has not granted any direction to conduct "Adal Padal Nigazhchi / dance programme" in the name of "cultural programme".
