O R D E R
This contempt petition has been preferred seeking to punish the respondent for willfully disobeying the order of this Court dated 12.07.2018 passed in Crl.O.P.No.17790 of 2018.
2. In Crl.O.P.No.17790 of 2018, this Court, on 12.07.2018, passed the following order:
"4. Taking into consideration, the nature of the allegations in the FIR, this Court directs the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.314 of 2016 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, under due intimation to the de facto complainant.
With the above direction, this petition is closed."
3. Alleging that the police have not complied with the aforesaid order, this contempt petition has been filed by Preetha Prasad, the petitioner in Crl.O.P.No.17790 of 2018 .
4. D.Malyni, Inspector of Police, Adyar (Crime), Chennai, is present.
5. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that investigation in Crime No.314 of 2016 has been completed and final report has been filed in S.R.No.1383 of 2019 on 04.07.2019 before the IX Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet. She has also submitted a copy of the final report to this Court. Recording the same, this contempt petition is closed.
