ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.02.2024 permitting the petitioner (Enrolment No.1110475) to participate in the Physical Endurance Test, Physical Measurement Test and Efficiency Test (PET, PMT and ET) for appointment for the post of GR.II-PC - TSP, GR.II.JWS and Fireman 2023 within the time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner had applied for common recruitment for the posts of GR.II-PC - TSP, GR.II.JWS and Fireman 2023. He had also cleared the written examination. The petitioner received a call letter for examination of Physical Endurance Test, Physical Measurement Test and Efficiency Test for appointment for the post of GR.II-PC - TSP, GR.II.JWS and Fireman 2023, from the respondent to be conducted on 07.02.2024. Subsequently, it was postponed to 09.02.2024, since the petitioner suffered with high fever and he was continuously taking treatment. Further, he was diagnosed with Dengue Fever and advised for further treatment for one week. Therefore, he was unable

to attend the Physical Endurance Test, Physical Measurement Test and Efficiency Test. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation.

4. It is seen that already the Physical Endurance Test, Physical Measurement Test and Efficiency Test were over and yet to publish the selection list. At this stage, the representation submitted by the petitioner cannot be considered and this writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. 23.02.2024 (5/5) Internet : Yes Index : Yes/No mn
