PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Certiorari calling for the records connected with I.D.No.67 of 2013 and quash the Award dated 30.11.2017 passed by the II Additional Judge, Labour Court Chennai, the 1st respondent. O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a writ of certiorari to quash the Award dated 30.11.2017 in I.D.No.67 of 2013 passed by the learned II Additional Judge, Labour Court Chennai.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that during the pendency of this writ petition, the issue involved in this writ petition was settled out of Court by way of memorandum of settlement u/s. 18(1) of Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 dated 28.07.2018 and the same has been produced before this Court to that effect on 04.09.2023 (today).

3. Hence, the impugned Award dated 30.11.2017 in I.D.No.67 of 2013 passed by the learned II Additional Judge, Labour Court Chennai is set aside in terms of the memorandum of settlement dated 28.07.2018 filed on behalf of the petitioner. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. The memorandum of settlement dated 28.07.2018 shall form part and parcel of this order. No costs.
