By consent the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner claims that while his mother Ellamalli was alive, the Government of Tamil Nadu allotted house site at T.S.No.39/71, Puliyur Village, Indra Gandhi Nagar, 1st Street, Aminjikarai, Chennai, admeasuring to an extent of 700 sq.feet on 16.05.1974 and thereafter, his mother along with the family members were residing therein and on 01.07.2010, she passed away leaving behind his father, the petitioner and two other brothers. The petitioner would further state that his brothers and father executed a registered release deed in favour of the petitioner vide Document No.3039/2012, dated 21.09.2012, thereafter, he is in possession of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the same and paying all statutory charges. The petitioner made a request to the respondent in the form of representation dated 18.03.2015 praying for transfer of patta in his name. Since, the petitioner has not been favoured with any response, he came forward with the present Writ Petition.
3. Heard Mr.C.Prakasam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the respondent.

This Court taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 18.03.2015 and after putting the concerned persons on notice, shall pass orders on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably not later than six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken to the petitioner as well as the persons concerned.
