This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent-Police to register the complaint dated 01.03.2016, given by the petitioner and to investigate the same.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. It is seen that this complaint has been given to the District Collector, Tiruppur District, and not to the Station House Officer, as required under Section 154 Cr.P.C. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to approach the concerned Station House Officer and lodge a fresh complaint in person and on such complaint being given, the same shall be enquired into and action taken in accordance with law.
