This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents, particularly, the third respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 19.11.2024 wherein the petitioner has sought for inclusion of his name in the revenue records based on the partition deed dated 05.07.1974 and sale deed dated 06.06.1979.
2. Heard Mr.R.Siva, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 5.
3. The petitioner has submitted an application before the fourth respondent seeking for transfer of patta in his name. This application came to be rejected by the fourth respondent through rejection order dated 05.03.2024. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed an appeal 2/4
before the third respondent and the same was kept pending without passing any final orders. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.
4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 19.11.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law after affording opportunity to the sixth respondent and pass orders within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
