Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuing a Writ of Mandamus forbearing the respondent society from allowing the new members to function as members of the respondent society who were admitted in General Body Meeting held on 20.09.2012.

2. Mr. L.P. Shanmuga Sundaram, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondent submitted that the relief sought for in the Writ Petition has become infructuous for the reason that subsequently more than 2000 members were inducted in the respondent society and the new members are holding the posts and therefore, the prayer sought for in the Writ Petition in respect of the functioning of the members, who were admitted in the general body meeting held on 20.09.2012, does not survive.

Government Pleader also produced a letter dated 15.07.2020 sent by the respondent society to him informing that the newly elected members are holding the posts.
4. Recording the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader, the Writ Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
