Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to extend six months time to settle the loan Account No.4368261000001 as per settlement arrived at between the parties on 18.01.2024 by way of One Time Settlement (OTS).

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.L.P.Shanmugasundaram, learned counsel for the petitioner.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks directions against the first respondent to extend the six months' time to settle the loan amount as per the settlement arrived on 18.01.2024.

3. One Time Settlement is a contract between the parties. It is for the parties to the contract to extend the time.

4. The petitioner may represent with the bank for the said purpose. We would not be passing any orders in the present writ petition.

5. In light of that, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.5551 of 2024 is closed.
