Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's application dated 26.02.2016 seeking renewal of its 'C' Form license and to forebear the respondents 1 and 2 from interfering with the petitioner A.V.Theatre, located in Anna Gandhi Main Mandapam, Annadurai Road, Dharmapuri Town, until final orders are passed by the 1st respondent on the renewal application submitted by the petitioner on 26.02.2016.

The prayer in the writ petition is to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's application dated 26.02.2016 seeking renewal of its

'C' Form license and to forebear the respondents 1 and 2 from interfering with the petitioner A.V.Theatre, located in Anna Gandhi Main Mandapam, Annadurai Road, Dharmapuri Town, until final orders are passed by the 1st respondent on the renewal application submitted by the petitioner on 26.02.2016.

2. When the case came up for hearing before this Court on 13.04.2017, the learned Additional Government Pleader, who took notice on behalf of the respondents, sought adjournment for getting instruction from the respondents. Accordingly, the case was posted on 18.04.2017 for getting instruction from the respondents. Again, when the case came up for hearing on 18.04.2017, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents sought adjournment for getting instruction from the respondents. Hence, the Registry was directed to list the case on 24.04.2017. Accordingly, the case is listed today i.e. 24.04.2017 for hearing.

3. Today when the case came up for hearing before this Court, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner has not complied with, as per the norms and guidelines mentioned in the "C" Form and no final order has been passed by the first respondent as on date.

3. In view of the submissions made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, at this stage, this Court is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 26.02.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
